High Quality Piano Instruction

DrJo (Melissa Gibson) offers high quality piano instruction for students of all ages who are excited about becoming a musician—whether for playing in public or for individual enjoyment.  Students will learn to play many types of music by learning to read music (music theory) and by hands-on-practice.

DrJo plays piano at Main Street Baptist Church and teaches music part-time at University of the Cumberlands. Her teaching experience spans 40 years of private lessons, public school music teaching, and university classroom teaching.

How do private lessons work?

Private lessons for local learners are conducted in my home. Requirements:

• Be able to read (usually age 6 up)
• Have parent present (under age 9)
• Have a piano or keyboard at home
• Transfer students of any age
• Free interview for first meeting

Private online lessons are offered for anyone in the world. Requirements​:
